Yah its me I’m back finally. Its been crazy busy over the last few weeks but yes I have managed to keep up my marathon training plan. As we were away on a two-week holiday (which was fab) we added a few miles before we headed away to compensate for it ! While on hols I managed to do two 5k runs to keep me ticking over & lots of swimming !
Life sometimes gets in the way and you have to work around it so don’t worry two much if you didn’t get the extra mile in or do 10 more sit ups than you had intended, just do what you can.
All going well so far & I am enjoying the long weekend runs, I had never run further than 13.1 which is the half marathon.
Below is the training plan I am training with. There are so many out there so its just a personal choice as to what suits you !
Drinking lots of water is key especially on long runs of (1hr or more). Taking vitamins is important for me & my joints so I take Glucosamine Sulphate & Omega3 Fish Oils. A healthy diet is another consideration so I try to eat as healthy as possible.Here is a typical day food wise for me.
I also eat each evening having something like cheese/pate on crackers or toast and some yogurt or a biscuit/banana. (depends on what is left in the house)
15 miles in the morning so I shall be setting the alarm for 7.15, wish me luck !
