On Sunday the 28th of August we held our third Cloggers Bloggers Event in the Clarion Hotel Cork . It was 6mths in the making and I personally think it was our best yet, then again I’m biased as I’m one of the Founders and Organisers hehe!!!
Our special guest on the day was the honest, witty and down to earth Rosemary MacCabe. I love someone who says it how it is and is not afraid to speak their mind, someone who will answer every question as openly and honestly as they can.I admire Rosemary even more since following her on Snapchat. Rosemary was like a breath of fresh air and spoke about everything from growing your followers to mental health & dealing with online trolls.
We had Niamh Sweeney Nimue sales executive and Educator at Nimue Skin Technology Ireland who spoke on the brand and its new Sun-C range. Niamh really knows her stuff and her love and belief in Nimue shone through.
Naomi Sirmans from Mosaic Marketing . Naomi is a passionate marketer and founder of Mosaic Marketing. She set up her business in January and is going from strength to strength. Naomi also teaches Digital Marketing and Online Strategy at Griffith College.
She spoke on media to grow your following and that Facebook live/Video is the way to go also how important it is to work with brands that align with who you are, what you would actually use – and not selling out.Naomi was a mine of information I could listen to her all day.
Lucie Pouilly was super interesting and every bloggers best friend as she was so knowledgable on photography. Giving us the run through on Canon, hints on smart phone editing software plus you don’t need to break the bank to create quality images for your blog & how to get your blog photo ready.
We had a competition for best dressed and Rosemary picked the winner it was the gorgeous Joanne from Lipstick & Leopard print. Head over and show her some love.
There were prizes also for best Tweet, Instagram post, Selfie and Membership to Blogger Conference. We held a raffle on the day to raise much-needed funds for a Childerens Orphanage in Belarus with my dear friend Kristian and raised €250.00. We broke for lunch at 2.30 and were salivating at the variety on the BBQ and lots of healthy salads, followed by the most divine calorific chocolate Brownie and whipped cream.
A Q&A with Rosemary MacCabe kick started the second half of the day and the room was filled with giggles and laughs and pens hitting notepads as Rosemary shared her top blogging tips.
Fashion is my passion and I love to promote businesses so I brought some glamour into the event with a mini Fashion Show. Shops on the day were Brocade & Lime, Suzsa, Topman Opera Lane, Ethical Souls. Thanks to all models on the day X
I must mention Erich Stack Photographer as he did an amazing job and captured the essence of our day.
Amazing pieces I think you will agree but I’ll do a seperate post for each shop and show you a few more looks. The lovely Niamh from Inglot did a live makeup Demo on one of our attendees and we all learnt a few tricks and what brushes were best for certain areas.
Not to mention the amazing GOODIE BAGS which will have to be again included in a seperate post, as they were that epic !
It was one amazing day, Shell & I are well and truly in need of a rest before we begin planning the next. Without each others support and friendship we wouldn’t be able to do the events we do so thanks Shell for being the best partner and friend XxX
Until next time
Lots of Love
